LIN Media’s WOOD-TV in Grand Rapids upgraded their newscasts to high definition. WOOD-TV is the third television station in the West Michigan DMA to make the switch to HD.
After months of behind-the-scenes work and preparation, 24 Hour News 8 on WOOD TV8 is now in high definition.
The first HD broadcast was 24 Hour News 8 at 6 on Saturday.
“What we do for our viewers isn’t changing. 24 Hour News 8 will continue to lead the way in breaking news, investigative reporting and severe weather coverage” said 24 Hour News 8 News Director Rebecca Sapakie. “Only now it will be in high definition.”
